Hello! Hopefully you are here because you have received an email with a link.
If this is the case - take a few minutes to read over the necessary info regarding WWM:

What is the world wide mural project?

WWM is an project designed to integrate artists on the web. The goal is to create a chain of artists world-wide, linked together by a strength in creativity and diversity. The task is to create a mural on the web, representing artists of all media, working from as far and wide as possible.

The mural works, in a sense, like a chain letter. This means that if you have been selected to "create the next link in the chain", it is up to you to keep it in effect. Hopefully you will see the awesome possibilities of diversity and unification herein, and create your image.

Directions: (important: please read carefully!)

First, find the X in the mural. This is where your image will be. It is a good idea to save the surrounding images to your hard drive and work on your image in the context of its "neighbors".

You are creating a JPG file that is 750 pixels wide and 500 pixels high. You only need to integrate elements of the surrounding images enough so that there is a smooth transition between images. It is up to you how you create that transition (if you are using Photoshop ((recommended)) I'd recommend using the rubber stamp tool as one way of creating a smoother transition..) Be creative, and keep the entire mural in mind!

Consider FLOW and CONTINUITY.

Diversity in media is especially encouraged! As long as your image ends up in pixels, you can use photography, paint, collage, sculpture, whatever. Text of any kind is obviously not out of the question.

IF YOU ARE IN ART SCHOOL --> Please try to avoid getting this "stuck" inside one school's community. If you are aware that their have been several artists from your school before you, take the initiative to re-direct it - either to someone you know in another school, or a teacher, high school student, whoever.

When you have created your image:

1. Send the file here: jon@jcampbellart.com.

2. BE SURE to send YOUR NAME and LOCATION along with your image.

3. Send an email with this link ( http://worldwidemural.jcampbellart.com ) to the artist of your choice. It is important that this task is passed from one artist to another. Do not select more than one.

If your image is not in the 750x500 format, it will automatically be resized.

I hope you have fun with this at the same time as taking it seriously enough to keep it in effect.

peace. BACK TO WWM.
